March 2018
In March 2018, Consul General Henry Bensurto, Jr. of the Philippines in San Francisco, California made a special appearance to address the donors of the Aeta Tribe Foundation. He encouraged the donors to continue supporting our cause because the indigenous “Aeta tribes are a symbol of the Philippines.”
Aeta Tribe Foundation was founded on the basis that every Aeta child should be protected from the second he or she is born until they have become self-sufficient and can live well in the 21st century. Since April of 2015, the Aeta Tribe Foundation has helped 20,000 Aeta out of a total population of 50,000; nearly 40% of the total population.
We are pushing on so many critical boundaries with our programs and initiatives designed to save the Aeta children and sustain life in the forest. Beginning with securing spring water and repairing artesian wells, we are able to help build many Aeta communities in different provinces in Central Luzon which the children can learn to grow their own food and feed themselves. With the necessary agricultural tools and extra seeds, the adults are now producing excess vegetables to sell, thereby creating employment opportunities and taking a necessary step towards self-sufficiency. Giving female water buffaloes to the Aeta villages not only helps with reforestation efforts but also saves the lives of infants with needed nutritional supplements of milk, as many Aeta women suffer from poor health.
Please donate and give a gift that truly makes a difference and helps to lift families out of hunger and poverty. We are recognized as a tax-exempt non-profit by the IRS under Section 501(c)(3) Federal Tax ID# 47-3714375.
